Dave MacDonald
Weather Reporter
Environment Canada transferred Dave to the K-W area in 1968 where he worked at the Weather Office at the local Breslau airport. A year later he was asked to do the weather on the CTV Southwestern Ontario late news in June of 1969. He continued working both jobs until the early 80's and then came to CTV Southwestern Ontario as the full-time weather anchor. He has seen many changes over the years in the way the weather is presented and the way the news is put together.
Tom Knowlton
Weekend Weather Anchor
Tom Knowlton is a television performer/writer/producer who also has many years of experience as a science teacher and outdoor educator. He co-created and co-hosted the award-winning children's television series Camp Cariboo (CKCO-TV [CTV], YTV) and has been the host of Good Morning Canada on CTV. Over the last fifteen years at CTV Southwestern Ontario, Tom has worked as a Weathercaster for CTV News, film critic for Inside Entertainment, host of the game show Bowling For Dollars, video reviewer for Saturday Morning and Sunday AM., and parade commentator. As a freelance writer and producer, Tom Knowlton has provided dozens of children's television scripts for Fred Penner's Place (CBC) and Guess What (CBC), and has created and produced The Waterloo Water Quality Quiz (an interactive video for grade 8 students), and How Green R U? (a series of environmental shorts for the The Green Channel).

Tom has been an instructor of television performance in the broadcasting program at Conestoga College, Kitchener, and has conducted seminars for teachers and outdoor leaders throughout Canada and the United States. Tom has also co-authored a social recreation program resource book, and conducted research, testing and evaluation of print and television materials for children.
