LONDON, Ont. - About 150 people took to the streets of London, Ont., on Monday to protest the Tasering a 17-year-old boy by police.

The crowd marched to city hall and police headquarters, and stopped traffic at the intersection of Richmond and Dundas Streets.

Among the protesters were many high school students, including some who attend the same school as the boy who was Tasered.

The incident, which happened on Thursday, was caught on a cellphone camera and posted on YouTube.

Police have said the use of the shocking device was justified in order to stop a fight between two 17-year-old boys.

The boy who was hit by the stun gun has been charged with assault with a weapon.
