The family of Andre Roy is appealing for help to find the 64-year-old, who has been missing for three days.

Known to family and friends as Andy, he told his wife he was going out, left around noon on Monday and hasn't been heard from since.

He didn't say where he was going, but was last seen driving his white 2001 Pontiac Montana van, with Ontario licence plates 573 ZLV.

Andre's daughter Tara Roy says "There's nothing unusual about him and that's why this is so uncharacteristic and so concerning to us… in 40 years he has never, not come home to my mother."

Roy has been married to his wife for 40 years, is the father of four children and has two grandchildren. He works as a salesman for a local roofing company.

She says if he wasn't at work, he was usually at home, and the family doesn't know what to make of the disappearance.

"At this point we are at a loss about what we can do…we've called all of his contacts and family and no one has seen or heard from him."

Police say they've done everything they can, and they're worried because Roy is extremely healthy and in good condition.

Guelph Police Sgt. Doug Pflug says "It's a situation that we're concerned for his safety."

Forces across Ontario have been informed of the disappearance, in the hopes that someone might have information.

Pflug says "We are actually encouraging people that if they do see the vehicle or see the vehicle moving to dial 911 and let the police dispatch know as soon as possible."

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact police at 519-824-1212 Ext. 331 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

Police have also set up a hash tag #guelphroy on Twitter to assist in the investigation and are asking people to re-tweet it to raise awareness about the disappearance.

Meanwhile his family is left hoping for news, Tara says "That's the very hardest part of this, we're left waiting and wondering and worrying about him."
