In their inaugural season in the OLA Junior 'C' Lacrosse League, the Wilmot Wild have advanced to the second playoff round.
The Wild scored an 8-7 victory over Hamilton Thursday night, to sweep the best-of-three opening-round series in two straight games.
Bobby Vandersluis paced the Wilmot attack with two goals and two assists. Conner Montag also scored twice for the Wild, while Elliott McKibbon had two goals for the losing Bengals.
With the victory, Wilmot advances to the second playoff round against the Caledon Bandits.
