Kitchener Rangers' defenceman Ryan Murphy has missed two full games as he deals with concussion-like symptoms. The 17-year-old says his status is still "up in the air" for this coming weekend.

Murphy looked on from the Auditorium stands Tuesday afternoon, as his teammates geared up for Friday's important home game against Owen Sound.

Murphy was injured during the first period of last Friday's game in Kingston, when he took an elbow to the face from Frontenacs' forward Ryan Davidson. The injury is not believed to be long-term.

Meanwhile, the Rangers' Matia Marcantuoni will not play Friday against the Attack. He has been out more than one month with an ankle injury.
