All schools and board administrative facilities for Waterloo Region District School Board are closed today.

All schools are closed in Wellington Dufferin.

All schools and facilities in the Thames Valley School District in Middlesex, Elgin and Oxford Counties, including London, Strathroy, Alymer, St. Thomas, Tillsonburg and Woodstock will be closed.

In Grey Bruce, all school buses are cancelled, some schools are closed.

All schools are closed in Windsor and Essex County.

The Kitchener, Waterloo and Brantford campuses of Wilfrid Laurier University are closed today.

All campuses of Conestoga College are closed for day and evening courses.

The University of Guelph is closed today.

The University of Waterloo is open today.

The University of Western Ontario is open today.

Fanshawe College is open today.

Beckett School of Music and Drama in Kitchener is closed today.

Everest College in Kitchener is closed today.

Humber College and Centennial College say they are shutting down operations

 

The Islamic School of Cambridge is closed today.

 

No buses will be running in Huron or Perth Counties

Marvel Beauty School in Kitchener is closed today.

Roads closed

Numerous roads are closed in Huron, Perth and Grey County, among other areas including:

  • Huron County Road 21/Bluewater Highway from Goderich north to Amberley
  • Highway 21 Grand Bend to Port Elgin
  • Highway 9 Kincardine to Walkerton
  • Highway 8 between Goderich and Mitchell.
  • Highway 6 Owen Sound to Arthur
  • Highway 10 Chatsworth to Dundalk
  • Highway 26 Owen Sound to Meaford
  • Grey County Road 124 from County Road 4 to Hwy 89
  • Grey County Road 3 from County Rd 25 to Hwy 21

Perth County plows are back on the roads after being pulled off earlier Wednesday due to zero visibility, while Huron County Roads department reports plows just went out around 7am and most county roads in Huron are heavily drifted.

Bruce County Roads Department plows are all back out but with 20cm of snow in some parts it is expected to take several hours to get all highways cleared in Southern Bruce County.

No 400 series highways are closed at the moment.
