A computer malfunction has resulted in about 600 Kitchener taxpayers getting multiple copies of their property tax bills.

The City of Kitchener says an apology letter has been e-mailed to all those affected and they advise homewners to only pay their taxes once the bill is due.

The glitch comes a day after the City of Waterloo withdrew money from the bank accounts of 4,000 property owners more than a week early. That problem was attributed to human error and has been corrected.
