Guelph police say a second man has been arrested in connection with a series of thefts at the Hanlon Creek Dog Walk involving the unattended cars of dog owners.

Arben Dashi, 29, of Toronto was arrested and charged with ten counts of theft and ten counts of mischief under $5,000. He was also charged with three counts of fraud and three counts of stolen credit card use, as well as breaching his bail.

Dashi is currently being held for a bail hearing on Wednesday.

Police have been investigating ten incidents that occurred between June 2009 and February 2010, when vehicles of dog owners were robbed while they were left unattended at the Hanlon Creek Dog Walk.

They allege the suspects broke in to the parked vehicles and stole identification, debit and credit cards. The suspects then used those cards in the Greater Toronto Area and defrauded the victims of over $3,700.

On June 17, 2010, police arrested and charged 31-year-old Ledion Taka on the same charges.
