A 57-year-old Guelph cyclist was involved in a collision with a vehicle on Friday in the city's south end.

Police say the man was taken to Guelph General Hospital for his injuries but was later released. The damage to both vehicles is estimated at $3,500.

The cyclist was reportedly travelling westbound on Paisley Road around 5:00 p.m. when he wandered out of the bicycle lane and into the traffic lane. A westbound vehicle then struck the bicycle's rear wheel, dismounting the cyclist.
