Wellington OPP have laid charges in connection with a homicide on Schmidt Drive in Arthur on Oct. 6.

Terry Rodger Tremble, 50, is charged with first degree murder in the death of his wife, Adrienne Roberts, 33.

Roberts worked as a paramedic at Wellington EMS. Her colleagues remember her as a hard worker with plans for the future.

"She worked for a couple of other ambulances services, a dispatch service, and was doing a distance education program as well," says Chief Sandy Smith of Guelph-Wellington EMS.

The couple has an 8-month-old baby boy, who is doing well and is with Roberts' relatives. Neighbors say the family kept to themselves.

Police are expecting the results of a post mortem tonight that will confirm the cause of death. However, they are still appealing to the public for help with the case.

Tremble is scheduled to appear via video at a Guelph court on Oct. 22 for a bail hearing.

OPP are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-TIPS.
