Possible prostate cancer treatment
Updated Wed. Mar. 10 2010 9:31 PM ET
A new Canadian study suggests the common reovirus could play a role in the fight against prostate cancer.

The reovirus gives you a cold or upset stomach but researchers say the latest study shows the virus infects cancer cells, kills them and sends out copies of the virus to attack other cancer cells.

Researchers say it opens the door to more effective cancer therapies with fewer side effects.
